This wonderful pastel-hued styled wedding shoot was the brainchild of the talented Jess at Tide the Knot and what a beauty it turned out to be! Taking place at the stunning Devon wedding venue The Oak Barn, it was a collective array of many of the talented work the South West wedding industry has to offer. From big front-cover-worthy floral installations, to the intricate small details, it all came together perfectly. There was even locally made ice cream from The Devon Fizz Company and cocktail making by Zoho too – what’s not to love?
The overall look and feel of the shoot was light, fresh and ethereal, so for the wedding invitation suite we chose the elegant Willow collection printed on soft hammered textured card, to give a luxe feel. This looked gorgeous in the flat lay adorned with white botanical wax seals featuring beautiful local flowers and handmade jewellery by Claire Austin England.
The dresses were equally heavenly – all locally and sustainably crafted by Solunah. Just exquisite!
In true English summer style, the rain made an appearance (it wouldn’t be summer without rain here right?). But even on the overcast day, the outside ceremony space looked absolutely incredible. I imagine on a hot sunny day it would shine even more! The aisle was lined with delightful florals by Heathland Flowers and a welcome sign from the Willow collection, leading to the amazing floral arch at the end.
The Willow collection cake menu got our mouths watering for the beautiful creation by Crafty Cakes, which looked too good to eat!
Back in the barn, the wedding table scape was set for the wedding breakfast, echoing the light, fresh aesthetic of the day. It was honestly such a pretty sight to behold.
On the day wedding stationery from the Willow collection brought the elegant vibes. I absolutely loved the Order of the Day sign which beautifully hung on our white sign frame with velvet green ribbons. The table numbers looked so good too, displayed on a charming green arch from Tide The Knot. And the place settings were something else! White, gold and green details with Willow collection place cards and menus. We went for extra luxury with menus adorned with handmade white botanical wax seals. I loved the summer picnic vibes too, with green gingham napkins from the Knotted Napkin Co.
Getting to work with some of the best wedding suppliers in the South West on this shoot was a dream and I was so pleased to see it featured in Wed Magazine too.
