Romantic Coastal Wedding at The Island Blockhouse, St Ives

Wild romance

With terracotta stationery, soft neutral details and flowing textures

This gorgeous autumnal styled shoot organised by Jess at Tide the Knot is a vision of loveliness. A romantic coastal wedding of dreams. The inspiration for the set up was a mix between Jane Austen-esque ethereal, a modern take on vintage artsy and the wild charm of the beautiful St Ives coastline. Set at a gorgeous new wedding venue The Island Blockhouse, the surrounding coastal scenery of St Ives Bay and the intimate beauty of the venue, a stone building from the 1800’s rooted in the Cornish landscape, looked out of this world.

The details and colour palette were soft neutrals paired with rich autumnal terracotta tones, giving dream-like wuthering heights vibes. So the natural choice for the stationery was earthy colours printed onto luxury textured card featuring a bespoke vintage inspired font, with a modern twist. We created bespoke designs for the occasion and I love it so much that I will be developing it into a full collection, so watch this space.

The flat lay provided all the dreamy inspiration and featured gorgeous handmade wedding rings by jewellery designer Kirsty Bridgewater. The dresses were equally exquisite, all handmade by talented designer Ailsa Munro and offered the dramatic, flowy moments on the clifftops. How romantic!

Moody, whimsical clifftop scenes provided a wonderful backdrop for some heavenly portraits taken by Lyra and Moth Photography. This setting would be perfect for an intimate wedding or elopement for a couple looking for something extra special.

Inside, the intimate interior of the Island Blockhouse was styled to perfection. A perfect blend between the rustic, minimal charm of the venue and the warm vintage tones of the decorations and tableware. Rich neutrals, golds, and vintage floral patterns effortlessly complimented the bespoke place cards and menus.

The delightful, wild floral installations by Three Acre Blooms added to the enchanting aesthetic, which looked lovely next to our draped bespoke fabric welcome sign printed onto sustainable cotton muslin material.

We were all treated to the mouth watering culinary delights created by Chef Natasha and the delicious cake by The Imaginary Bakery. All of which looked like pieces of art in their own right.

This shoot was truly magical. Featuring the artistry of some incredibly talented artisan wedding suppliers in Cornwall and the South West. I was over the moon for it to be featured on Love My Dress wedding blog too.
