I thought I’d kick things off by sharing my own wedding to give a huge shout out to the amazing team of suppliers who helped make our day so incredible. A beautiful summer day at Brickhouse Vineyard set the scene, as we finally got to tie the knot after ten years together!
The style was based on old Hollywood (think black tie and glamour) but coupled with laid-back modern elements. The colour palette was black and white, with a hint of dusky blue.
Our guests enjoyed a mini wine and cheese tasting session, instead of traditional canapés, which added a fun twist to the day. I created bespoke wedding stationery and signage in a modern, minimalist style with a grape illustration to fit within the vineyard setting – all using sustainable materials of course!
My husband Will is from Ireland, so it was important to incorporate Irish traditions throughout the day, from old traditions like handfasting to modern twists like a neon sign that read “grá go deo”, which translates to “forever love” in Gaelic.
We finished the day off with sparklers and lots of laughter jumping on a bouncy castle. We had the most amazing day and cannot thank our team of amazing suppliers enough. The icing on the cake for us was that our wedding was also chosen to be featured by Rock My Wedding!
