D + B’s LGBTQ+ Wedding At Rockbeare Manor

Dan + Brandon

With an ice cream truck, unity candle ritual and vintage car ride

I met Brandon and Dan just over a year before their wedding and it was such a pleasure to get to know such genuinely lovely people. From chatting to them about their wedding stationery visions, to setting up on their wedding morning, I loved seeing their love story unfold. As wedding suppliers themselves (check out their amazing mobile bar – The Drinking Box) they both knew the importance of hiring a team of wedding professionals to ensure everything went smoothly on their wedding day. And what a day it was! They tied the knot at Rockbeare Manor in Devon, on the last day in August and had an emotional and joyful wedding surrounded by their loved ones. Take a look at their beautiful LGBTQ+ wedding, captured by Nova Photography.

Brandon and Dan spent the morning getting ready together in the most relaxed way. I loved that they shared a romantic drive together in a vintage car and walked hand in hand down the aisle next to each other. They wanted a luxe feel to their manor house wedding and opted for a minimal colour palette of whites, soft grey and sage green (who else is obsessed with the matching suits and gorgeous groomsmaid dresses?)

When it came to the stationery, the couple explained that they wanted “plain but wow” during their consultation with me, so we went for elegant black and white details. They chose invitations from the Callisto collection and the Nova collection for their ‘on the day’ stationery. Guests arrived to a personalised welcome sign and order of the day sign which directed guests to the ceremony. These paired beautifully with the minimal, elegant decor styled by All Floral that decorated the beautiful ballroom and rooms of Rockbeare Manor.

“Jade provided us with all our wedding stationary and we are so happy that we found her. The invitations were very elegant and exactly what we was looking for. All our on the day stationary was also supplied by Jade where she came and set everything up for us. Everything was perfect and nothing was too much to ask. She executed our vision perfectly. If the elegant and minimalistic look is what you are going for then you have to use Paper Belles! Absolutely 10/10!”

Brandon and Dan chose a beautiful, personalised ceremony, filled with love and emotion. Carried out by Ceremonies by Rebecca, it featured a unity candle ritual and the delightful sounds of a string trio. After the I do’s were pronounced and the confetti was thrown, guests enjoyed canapes and ice cream on the lawns – yes, please!

Guests were then led into the stunning ballroom which was set up for the wedding breakfast with a matching seating plan sign from the Nova collection. The minimal white and green decor continued in this room, finished off by elegant menus, place cards, table numbers and a cake menu, also from the Nova collection. Our black sign frames were also hired to hang all of the larger signage onto, continuing the minimal, luxury aesthetic.

The joyful celebrations continued, into the evening with a fun, glowstick dancefloor, emotional speeches and special memories with their nearest and dearest. It was a great day had by all and a pleasure to be a part of!
